Guillermo has focused his career on strengthening the U.S. - Mexico bilateral relation. Before joining the U.S. - Mexico Foundation, he worked at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, D.C., where he served as an international trade consultant, working to strengthen bilateral trade and foster SME participation in North American trade. He also monitored USMCA negotiations and implementation, as well as a variety of bilateral economic affairs.
He led the Embassy's tourism promotion efforts with the objective of increasing the arrival of tourists to Mexico, as well as fostering investments in the sector.
Guillermo holds a B.A. in International Relations from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Guadalajara and a Diploma in International Trade Negotiations from Colegio de México.
He is part of the team leading the North Capital Forum, an initiative by the USMF, where we seek to promote North America as an economic, social and political powerhouse.
